Chris and her husband, Richard, live in Lexington, Mississippi. They are the parents of three children and grandparents to seven.
Chris has taught Sunday School, and she is a volunteer foster of animals for Jennifer Sterling Brown Rescue of Holmes County (JSBAR). She is currently vice-president of Lexington Odd Fellows Cemetery, Inc.
She has worked as a doctor's assistant and a legal assistant.
Presently, she serves on the board of Safe Dormitories Association; Safe Dormitories is committed to ensuring the safety, privacy, and positive mental health of our children in colleges. Chris states that the lack of personal space and privacy of the open-bedroom policy often creates roommate conflicts, assaults, immoral behavior and its consequences, and distractions from college studies.
